Indications
The root of this European weed is recommended as a laxative and tonic. Yellow dock is also known to enhance digestion through the stimulation of bile production. Prescribed for skin diseases such as psoriasis, this root is utilized to treat jaundice and
cleanse the blood. Containing more vitamins A and C than carrots and oranges, respectively, yellow dock is a nutritious and beneficial supplement to any diet.

This large-leaved perennial has been used for many years in its native Europe. Gardeners there actually consider yellow dock to be a weed, since it can grow in any variety of environments. The lance-shaped leaves
of this beneficial herb can be utilized in the spring to enhance salads, but it is the root that has known medicinal value.
Recognized primarily for its powerful laxative effect, yellow dock root has multiple uses. Acting on the liver, this bitter herb stimulates bile production which strengthens digestion. It is commonly prescribed to treat
the liver condition known as jaundice. Due to the root's hepatoprotective (ability to protect the liver) activity, yellow dock is used to cleanse the blood and to treat chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis.
Caution should be exercised when using yellow dock, as it contains high levels of oxalate. This compound can make its user quite ill if consumed in large amounts.
Storage
Yellow Dock should be stored tightly sealed in a cool, dry area until it is required.
Usage
Take 6-13 drops 3 times daily one half hour before meals for an extended period of time (three to four months).
