No Pain should be avoided by individuals with diseases of the digestive system, blood clotting disorders, anemia, Reye's syndrome, and asthma aggravated by Aspirin. Consult a qualified health care provider if continued use is required for a period longer than 5 days.

Therapeutic Indications
No Pain is a balanced combination of Nature's two clinically proven pain relievers; white willow bark and feverfew herb. The natural source of salicin, white willow's traditional use for alleviating pain resulted in the commercial manufacture of "Aspirin".

For almost a century, Aspirin has been the World's most popular drug for pain, inflammation, and fever. Recent studies show that low doses (½ to 1 tablet a day) help prevent heart attacks, strokes, several types of cancer, migraine headaches, and senility. Larger doses are needed for headache relief. Charles Hennekens, M.D., an Aspirin researcher at Harvard University views Aspirin as "the greatest preventive medical bargain of all time".

Amid all the excitement, physicians and the media overlooked two key points. Aspirin is a lab's attempt to duplicate the beneficial properties of a natural remedy. Secondly, a daily "herbal ASA" supplement offers the same preventive health benefits as Aspirin without Aspirin's risk of side effects.

Chinese physicians used willow bark, the natural source of ASA, for many years to treat pain and fever. Western medicine accepted white willow bark in the 18th Century after a British herbalist, Edmund Stone, proved it to be successful. Settlers gained new respect for Native American medicine when news of Stone's findings spread. Many tribes already used willow bark for pain.

During the 19th Century, chemists analyzed plants to uncover their healing chemicals. In 1828 salicin, willow bark's active compound, was unraveled. These chemists refined salicin into salicylic acid, which became widely used.

Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) was created from salicylic acid but ignored for 50 years. In 1897, a chemist with the German drug firm Friedrich Bayer & Co. tested it on his father, who had severe arthritis. It was found every bit as effective as the salicylic acid he had been taking, but with less stomach upset. Bayer decided to release ASA commercially coming up with the name "Aspirin".

Bayer introduced Aspirin in 1899. In just a few years it was on its way to being the most popular pain reliever on Earth, with two tablets every four hours as the standard adult dose. Research in the last decade found ½ to 1 tablet a day has remarkable medical value in preventing a variety of serious conditions.

The demonstrated benefits of low doses of Aspirin can be achieved naturally, using willow bark. Teas, capsules and extracts of this tree bark are the easiest means of consumption.

Use of the natural active ingredient is less likely to cause the side effects seen with Aspirin. Many people who are Aspirin-sensitive experience stomach upset and potentially serious gastrointestinal bleeding.

People who should not consume salicin or any of its derivatives include children, pregnant women, and those with upcoming surgery, clotting disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, or asthma aggravated by Aspirin.

While some may undergo stomach distress, herbal "aspirin" appears to be considerably less hazardous than the pharmaceutical "aspirin". Medical literature reports no cases of serious side effects from herbal "aspirin". Although not proven, two theories explain this lack of serious adverse reactions. When taking herbal "aspirin", a smaller dose of the active ingredient is received, thus, fewer side effects are likely. Secondly, the plant may contain natural buffers that were removed when manufacturing Aspirin.

Willow bark minimizes pain by blocking prostaglandin production (hormone-like substances affecting muscle contraction and swelling). In addition, white willow bark effectively reduces fevers, and is longer lasting than ASA. A study performed by Steinegger and Hovel, in 1972, shows that while natural salicin reaches peak levels slower than ASA products, it stays active longer.

Feverfew has gained a highly deserved reputation as a primary remedy to treat migraines, especially for those who are relieved by applying warmth to the head. Traditionally, feverfew was used to relieve many types of pains, especially those associated with rheumatism, arthritis, and other inflammatory problems. This pretty herb, as its name indicates, is an excellent remedy for flu and other respiratory infections associated with fevers. In addition, many women find this plant useful to relieve the pain of menstrual cramping.

In a multitude of Canadian and international clinical studies, feverfew has been repeatedly shown effective to alleviate the pain of migraine headaches and inflammations. Scientists believe the active constituents in this medicinal inhibit release of brain serotonin. This inhibition reduces the frequency and severity of attacks. Feverfew is also helpful to treat arthritis, especially when the condition is in its painful, active, inflammatory stage.

Feverfew is an effective reducer of prostaglandins and histamines (released by the body to ward off foreign entities i.e. pollen). This reduction decreases blood vessel spasms, a common cause of painful migraines and headaches. Traditionally used for arthritis and rheumatism, this plant's anti-inflammatory qualities make it an excellent remedy for flu and respiratory infections accompanied by fever. Many women obtain help with feverfew to relieve the pain associated with period cramping.

A recent English study found that a significant number (over 70%) of patients using feverfew experienced relief from migraines with less nausea and vomiting common to other conventional migraine remedies. Best results are achieved when feverfew is taken over extended periods of time. The severity and frequency of migraines are lowered if this regimen is followed.

ASA (found naturally in No Pain) can help to prevent some of North America's leading killers;

heart attacks - by 44% in men and 30% in women
colo-rectal cancer - second only to lung cancer and the leading cancer killer of nonsmokers
strokes – the leading killer after heart disease and cancer

Additionally, ASA helps to prevent the following debilitating conditions;

senility from multi-infarct dementia
(mental impairment caused by cell death from reduced blood supply)
esophagus and stomach cancers
painful migraine headaches that affect over 33 million people in North America

No Pain is the blend of nature's two potent pain fighters, white willow bark and feverfew, which provides the synergistic benefits of both remarkable pain relieving herbs.

Storage
No Pain should be stored in a cool, dry area until it is required.

Usage
"Ultimate" Extract
Take 5 - 10 drops, preferably ½ hour before meals and at bedtime, with water or juice, and as required to relieve pain.

Capsules
Take 1-2 capsules, preferably ½ hour before meals and at bedtime, with water or juice, and as required to relieve pain.

Complimentary Therapies
A proper diet is essential to overall health and maintaining healthy weight levels. Reduce the intake of processed foods, while increasing the intake of fiber, raw fruits and vegetables. Compliment your diet with a well-balanced multivitamin and mineral.

Be sure to drink plenty of water (at least 8 glasses daily) and juice instead of coffee, tea or sodas. Caffeine drinks and sodas provide only a temporary energy boost, while depleting the body of vitamins and minerals. The water keeps your body functioning efficiently, while it flushes out harmful toxins built up during the day.
