Therapeutic Indications
The human body is a delicate collection of complicated systems and tissues. We all need constant nutritional energy for efficient functioning. Everything works in a harmonious state of balance. This equilibrium
is very fragile, and can be easily altered.
The Echinacea family of herbs has recently undergone extensive scientific and media evaluation. Echinacea angustifolia and E. purpurea are the most potent of the echinaceas, having the highest concentration of the active
constituents known as phenolic compounds. The root of this plant is considered to have a higher concentration of phenolics than the aerial parts, and is therefore used more often.
Echinacea is known as "the immune herb". It works to help the body combat and ultimately defeat various bacterial, fungal, viral and protozoan infections. In addition, clinical studies have proven echinacea helps lessen
the time required for the body to recover from colds and flu.
Multiple compounds within echinacea are believed to be responsible for its medicinal qualities.

Complimentary Therapies
A proper diet is essential to overall good health. Replace the intake of junk, processed and fast foods with vegetables and fruits. Compliment your daily diet with a well-balanced multivitamin and mineral. Drink plenty of water and juice (at least 8
glasses a day), instead of coffee, tea or sodas to replenish the body's fluids.
Allow sufficient rest for the body's immune system to combat infections. Vitamin C and zinc also help decrease the duration and the severity of common cold and flu symptoms.
